Set off from our campsite in Argelès-Gazost to explore some iconic landmarks. From the holy town of Lourdes to the nearby Animal Park, plus the Cirque de Gavarnie, Cauterets and the Pic du Midi, you are sure to experience some magic in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Our beautiful region changes face with every season. And each season comes with its own special events. Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to witness one of the landmark moments on the Pyrenees calendar – Transhumance, or the seasonal livestock movement. This takes place twice a year and is definitely worth seeing.
And a visit to the Pyrenees is also a chance to discover the terroir and its traditional know-how. To do so, nothing beats a trip to one of the markets or craft workshops. An authentic experience that is well worth the journey.
